This mini started life back in 1983 as a yellow Mini Mayfair. For most of her life she stayed this way until in 2005 she got totally transformed into a Swifttuned 1380 powered monster. Unfortunately back in 2008 she got written off which was not my fault! I've included a couple of photos of her to show how she was before she met her untimely end! Enjoy ;o)
This mini started life in 1973 as a Morris Mini 850, blaze orange since then she has had only 2 owners from new. Many engines have passed through her engine bay, including a 1293cc and 1275 hybrid turbo powered street machine. I've owned this Mini since 2007 and have fully rebuilt her, including the later engine convertion. At the moment she is in my workshop getting rebuilt....again, and I will keep this page up to date with news over the winter months......Well this mini is now become part of Project 998t, so please see the new part of the site for more information.
Both of my Mk1 and Mk2 jet powered go-karts are powered by DIY jet engines.
I built both of these karts and engines by just using scrap turbochargers and other materials I found.
I got in to building jet engines after seeing an episode of Scrap-heap Challange. Many years later I met Nick, who was one of the technical guys from that episode, and soon after I built my mk1 engine and kart.
You'll find a selection of photos and videos of the jet karts below, so please take a look and enjoy.
Here you will find my last two magazine featured minis, also my jet powered gokart.
